Simple Olive Tree Mantel

Good morning buttercup and happppppy Wednesday! Can you believe we’re already halfway through the week?! This week is scooting along pretty quickly over here, which I’m not complaining about. Every day that goes by gets us closer to the end of this quarantine situation. Colorado only has a few more days of our stay-at-home order and I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hallelujah! Anyway, today I’m sharing my simple olive tree mantel in our front room. It’s actually super simple, but I’m kinda loving simple these days. Plus the faux olive trees I’m using are new from Target (they’re from the Studio McGee collection!) and I LOVE them. They’re the perfect size for my big mantel. I’m also sharing a few photos of our front room! All sources will be linked at the end of the post.

Front Room- Simple Olive Tree Mantel

I never share this view of our front room, but isn’t it kinda cool?! I love the birds eye view of this space. This is what I see every morning when I walk down the stairs.

I love these faux olive trees so much! They come in that vintage inspired ceramic pot, which has little hairline “cracks” in it that make it look super old. Plus they’re a really great size–perfect for a larger mantel like this. And best of all they’re only $25 each, which I feel like is a really fair price for such a great size olive tree. See them HERE.

I’m still loving the look of this simple olive tree mantel after I sanded it down to the natural wood. (Check out this post to see how I did it.) It really gives this whole area the warmth it needed! And if you’re wondering, that mirror it’s from Arhuas. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s the kind of thing you have your entire life. It’s actually on a big sale right now! See it HERE.

This has nothing to do with the mantel, but check out my pretty fiddle tree! She’s doing so well and getting HUGE. Seriously can’t believe I’ve managed to keep her alive almost a year now. Whooot whooot!!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me on the blog today!! I am always so grateful when you stop by. As always I hope this post gives you as a few ideas for your own home. xo

Love that bird’s eye view of your living room! Never realized you had high a ceiling in that room as we always see it from floor level. Your house looks wonderful, especially with the sun shining in, making everything look
    extra good!
    Have a great day!

You show so beautifully there doesn’t have to be a lot of “fluff” to a style. Simplicity can be stunning without clutter or wild details or too much of too much. I like collections and details, but there’s something wonderful about simple, sophisticated touches, too!
