Simple Farmhouse Fall Centerpiece

Happy first day of fall my friends! Can you all believe we are almost to October now? Goodness gracious this month is just zooming by at record speed. But the good news is we are officially in fall and that means we can now decorate for the season without feeling like crazy people. Wahoo! So to celebrate I’m sharing a simple farmhouse style fall centerpiece that’s easy to put together and purdy to look at–just what I like!

I have about 6 of these grapevine wreaths. I know most people use them to make snazzy wreaths, but I love leaving them just like this–natural and somewhat imperfect. I think they add the perfect amount of texture to any look.

The long stem grass bundles are from the prairie by our house. Yep, I went out and pulled me some long grass. Call me crazy, but I love it. And it was FREEEEEE.

If it weren’t for pumpkins, I think apples would be the leading fruit representative of fall. Wait, is a pumpkin a vegetable? Or fruit? I’m not sure. Either way, I love using fresh apples to decorate for fall. They make me think of frolicking through an apple orchard on a crisp fall day. Is that weird?

I love the simplicity of this look. It was super easy to put together, I had most of the items already on hand. The combination of textures and contrast between the apples and the white pumpkins just makes me happy. Fall is such a fun season for decorating and honesty, it’s always the process of putting it all together that I enjoy so much. I put music on, coffee is brewing, and if all goes well the chickadees are playing happily nearby. It’s such a relaxing and peaceful time for me and there’s something very thereaputic about it. If you’ve never let yourself have that time to just be creative in your home I highly recommend you do so pronto. I’ve said it a few times before, but I really believe that home decor is a form of artistry in itself. It’s an opportunity to express yourself and create something that you love, all while making home your happy place. After all, it’s where you spend most of your time–might as well make it perfect for you.

I’ll be posting a more neutral fall centerpiece that I’m loving in our breakfast nook very soon, so stay tuned! Thanks for dropping by today, I seriously appreciate having you here. And I always enjoy hearing from you, so let me know what you think and if you have any questions! xoxo
