You guys, we officially got the house! We are in the process of moving in/painting walls/getting new carpet in bedrooms/etc but I wanted to quick share a few photos of the house with you guys. Let’s start with the living room–which is the room that sold me on this house back in April 2023. It has a gorgeous wall of windows, huge fireplace, and the coolest French country vibe. I love the tall ceilings, but it still feels cozy at the same time.
We talked about sanding down the floors and doing a lighter stain, but the floors are American Cherry, so even if we did that they’d still have a reddish tone to them. So we decided to leave them dark. We are having them sanded next week to buff out some scratches and they’ll top it with a matte finish, which I think will look great.
This wall cabinet space is kinda funny because only the center doors open. The other doors open, but on the other side of the wall, which is the home office. So they’re kinda like faux doors. Anyway, I’m not sure we want to put the TV in that cabinet, I’d rather mount it on the wall somehow, so we will have to figure that out soon.
All the light makes these floors look super dark from this angle!

You will love having all the windows. You have a gorgeous view and it will really help your mood. There is something about nature that makes us feel calm and relaxed. We have lots of windows as well. Only downside is cleaning the high ones but it’s so worth it! I’m looking forward to you sharing a good way for that. Beautiful home!
