Hi friends! Today’s post is all about a neutral fall centerpiece that I’ve been loooooving in our breakfast nook lately. And even better, this post is part of a fun home tour I’m doing with a group of talented bloggers and we’re all sharing purdy fall decor. How fun is that?! If you’re joining me from Laura with Junque Cottage, or any of the other blogs on our tour, welcome! I’m thrilled to have you here today. Come on in and get comfy, I’ll start the coffee.
I wanted to keep this centerpiece simple and practical since we use this table allllll the time. It’s basically the command center of our home. We eat here (obviously), the kids do craft projects, I have my morning and afternoon coffee here, and half the time this is where I’m working on the blog. It’s a high traffic spot, so I wanted to make a centerpiece that could stay here all the time and not get in the way. This was the perfect fit.
I’ve been absolutely obsessed with copper candles lately–they’re just so darn perfect for fall. These are from WildLust Wicks and I’m crazy about them. They don’t even need to be lit to make the whole room smell like heaven.
Believe it or not I found this old dough bowl at a large yard sale/flea market thingy in a school parking lot earlier this spring. I think I paid one dollar for it. I mean, how does that even happen in real life? I’m still amazed.
I’ll be honest with you. I have no clue what these stems are called with the little white balls. No idea whatsoever. All I know is that I found them at Michael’s in the fall decor section and I thought they were pretty so I bought them and went on my merry way.
I feel like I could post 10 more shots of this little centerpiece. I just love the combination of the copper with the white pumpkins and that old wooden dough bowl. Simple and easy, just the way I like it. Be sure to let me know what you think and definitely say hi if you’re new around here–I always LOVE hearing from you fabulous people that read my blog! And I’d be thrilled to have you join me over on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Ok, now grab a snack and be sure to stop by the other blogs in our home tour to see even more more purdy fall decor. Enjoy!

Sarah, it truly is the perfect centerpiece! Your dough bowl really was an awesome score (lucky you!), and I love everything you filled it with! Your kitchen is gorgeous, too … especially your planked walls and that bench (swoon)! I’m so glad to be a part of the Fall blog hop with you!
Thanks so much Becca!
Sarah, what an amazing tablescape you’ve put together! I love the pop copper candles! So glad to have been apart of this blog hop with you 🙂
XOXO
Lacey
Pretty. I created a neutral centerpiece with candles. Love the neutral pallet for fall
Aren’t candles the best in the fall? Perfect time to come inside and cozy up with a yummy candle. Thanks for stopping by Mary!
OK, I can’t get past the fact that you bought that gorgeous dough bowl for one dollar! Holy smokes! It is so gorgeous and I love how practical, yet lovely the centerpiece is! Your home is always so beautiful!
I love the way all the colors and textures blend together and the copper candles are just the right touch. I agree – this is the perfect centerpiece!
A dough bowl has been on my list for a while and you styled yours perfectly! I don’t know the name of the ball stems either, but they look great! haha. Love your appreciation for fall neutrals- just beautiful!
This space is beautiful with that centerpiece as the highlight!! Totally makes me want to grab a cup of coffee and take a seat at that fun farmhouse bench. Did you paint that table yourself? I have a table painted like that and I need to seal it. If you did it yourself, can you tell me what you used to seal it?
I actually did paint that table! I used chalk paint and covered it with a clear polycrylic. It worked really well! I’m very happy with the way it’s holding up. You can see that full project in this post: https://sarahjoyblog.com/chalk-paint-dining-table-makeover/
Sarah, what a beautiful and wonderfully practical tablescape! I love centerpieces that don’t have to be dismantled every time the family sits down at the table! The soft neutral colors and that amazing dough bowl are perfect! Beautiful job, friend!
Thank you Jennifer! Loved doing this blog hop with you!
Sarah, love your fall centerpiece and how you styled your dough bowl! i can’t believe what a great find that was, score!! Thank you for being a part of this blog hop! 🙂
Such a pretty fall centerpiece, Sarah, the colors are perfect! And…I LOVE your shiplap walls 🙂
Sarah,
Okay, can I say how jealous I am that you actually bought a dough bowl for A DOLLAR??! Wow! It is gorgeous – and that was a steal! And I love the way you styled it, too. Casual, natural, and simple but still seasonal and fresh!
Thanks again for joining us for our fall tour!
Thanks Sheila! I was shocked to find it too. Once in a lifetime find, that’s for sure!
Your centerpiece is beautiful and fits your space so well. A dollar for that dough bowl, amazing. I got a round one about 10 years ago at a garage sale for $5. The lady said it was her mothers but it wasn’t her style so she was selling it. I use it all the time.
Wow Becky, that’s a great find too! It’s funny how we go crazy over them and some people don’t see their beauty. Thanks for stopping by!
What a gorgeous centerpiece Sarah! I love all the layers and textures. I need to find a smaller wood bowl like this! love this idea!
You were my last stop to visit, and I finally made it over!!
And now… I can’t even speak to you anymore out of pure envy. LOL!!!!
A ONE DOLLAR dough bowl? You won the prize. It sits so prettily on your table too.
Perfect for Fall. Happy Autumn you little cutie!! It went to the perfect home.
Right!?? I was pretty shocked myself when I found that dough bowl, it was a once in a lifetime find for sure. I’m so glad you stopped by Shannon & it was great to do this blog hop with you!
Beautiful! Love the copper candles. We’re moving into our new home at the end of November, and I’m so happy I found your blog for inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing!
