Girls Bedroom Makeover + Closet Transformation

Today’s post is so fun because we just finished doing a little makeover on my tween daughter’s bedroom. Since moving in we have replaced the carpet, added shiplap, painted and just finished an awesome little closet transformation. I still have more I want to do in this space (wallpaper!) but I thought I’d go ahead and share how it is looking now. Here’s how the room looked when we moved in:

And here’s how it looks now with fresh carpet, paint and shiplap:

This room is on the smaller side, so there really isn’t enough space for a desk and a dresser. My daughter really wanted a desk, so we decided to transform her closet into a built-in dresser. Here’s the closet before and here’s how it looks now:

Isn’t that AMAZING?! I can’t get over how good this turned out. We hired Closet Factory for this project and they absolutely nailed it. They came out and took measurements, we chatted through the design, and a few weeks later they came back to install it. It only took a few hours for this to go in! LOOOOVE it.

So happy with how this room is coming together, especially that closet transformation. I have roman shades ordered and planning to do wallpaper above the shiplap soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
