One of the main reasons we moved from the “big house” was to simply a few things in our life and downsize. I wanted a house that felt cozy again and I honestly don’t think I realized how much I was missing that feeling. It just wasn’t there, no matter what I did. Anyway, coming here has been like a breath of fresh air. This house is so cozy and warm and welcoming and just homey. I’m having so much fun getting all the different spaces put tougher. I feel creative and inspired again. And I just got our cozy front sitting room put together and wanted to show how it’s coming. We’ll have bookcases installed on either side of the fireplace in several weeks!
These swivel chairs are from Wayfair and they come in a pack of two. We tried a few different chairs out in this room and these won out. They’re super comfy and they swivel. That coffee table is one I’ve had a while from Walmart.
I still don’t know what I want to do with the stone and the mantle on the fireplace. I keep going back and forth on ideas, but now for I’m planning to leave it. Plus the look could change once we get those built-in bookshelves installed on either side of the fireplace. We’ll do that first and then see how I like the fireplace!
