Now that we’ve lived here almost a year, I’m ready to start adding our own touch. Other than replacing the lights in our kitchen, we haven’t done any projects. And to be honest, I didn’t want to–I simply wanted to live here for a while and see what we liked/didn’t like/wanted to change. But I’m finally ready and I’m starting with PAINT. Good ol’ fashioned paint. I want to paint all of the windows on our main level black. I know that’s a huge undertaking, but I just did the window in our laundry room and it turned out so good. Had to share the before and after!

Isn’t that a dramatic difference?! I’m really shocked at how much of a change it made in this room. The hardest part was taping everything off–that took an hour, almost two. But once that was done the painting was a breeze. Super easy project with a big payoff. Next up: the windows in the living room and breakfast nook. Stay tuned to see how they turn out!
