$30 Office Table Makeover

For the last couple months I’ve been on the hunt for a new desk or table for my office. If you’ve been around you might remember that I sold my old desk (never shoulda done that!) and ever since then I’ve been trying to find a good replacement. For a while I even moved my Arhaus dining table in my office, but after just a few days I realized it was way too big. So for several weeks now my office has been siting empty. But last week I randomly came across an old wooden table on Facebook Marketplace. I knew it would work perfectly!

I got this table for $30 and it’s solid wood. No wobbles, no creaks. Nothing. This thing is well-made and old. I loved it, but I knew the color wasn’t exactly what I wanted. So I grabbed 100 grit sandpaper, my electric sander, and I got to work.

I took the dark stain off and I can’t believe the difference. Here’s how it looks now:

I am absolutely smitten with how this turned out! This table has the exact dimensions I was looking for too–it’s long (but not too long!) and narrow, which is what I really wanted. It gives me plenty of space to spread out with my design books, laptop, coffee, etc. I have all the room I need to get creative without it taking up too much space in the office. It also has room for the kids to join me for some drawing or art if they want. It’s perfect and such a steal for $30!!

Also I have to rave about this amazing floor lamp!! I found it on Amazon and I looove it. Boho vibes all the way.

Thanks so much for swinging by the blog today!! I’d love to hear what you think of this table makeover and as always I hope this post gives you a few ideas for your own home. xo
