I’ll be honest with you–it’s crossed my mind a time or two to bail on this whole “organize with me” series I’ve been doing this month. And it’s not because I don’t enjoy organizing. I actually love it. But it’s getting rather embarrassing at this point. I mean, I’m basically sharing my most disgusting spaces at full capacity and it ain’t pretty. It’s actually frightening. But at this point I’m committed, so here we are–today’s post is all about my closet. I apologize in advance for the before photos. Please do not judge me too harshly.
See, I told you. AWFUL. But it get’s better. Here’s the after:
Ahhhh much better. I cleaned everything up, got rid of stuff I no longer need, and used lots of these little organizers. Nothing super fancy or ground breaking happening here, but 100% improved.
Here’s the other side:
And here’s the after:
I decided to hang my jeans this way so I could see them better and I LOVE it. I wish I had done this years ago–it makes it so much easier to see them all. Also one thing that really helps make a closet look and feel more organized is matching hangers. I use these from Amazon.
It always feels nice to get a good closet clean-out done. This took a couple hours and by the time I was done I had a huge bag for donation, tons of stuff thrown in the trash, and way less clutter–I can’t get over how much better it looks and feels. Organization is like therapy!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I always appreciate it!
