Current Skincare Routine + Shape Tape Kit Sale!

Well I’m on week two of waking up early and so far it hasn’t been too terrible. Sure, I’m usually exhausted by 3pm, but I think my body is starting to get used to this early routine again. And I have to admit, that quiet time in the morning is totally worth it. Fingers crossed I can stick with this new schedule! Anyway, I wanted to share my updated skincare routine today. I’m actually using several new products, so I’m excited to chat about those. Plus, Tarte is doing a huge Shape Tape custom kit sale, so I’m talking about that at the end of the post.

Morning Skincare Routine

Purifying Cleanser: I’ve been using this cleanser morning and night for over three years now and I have zero plans of changing that. It works great for my skin–it takes off all my makeup and it’s super gentle at the same time. (Use SARAHJOY for 15% off.)

Facial Roller: I like to keep this roller in the freezer and use it in the morning if my face feels extra puffy. It feels so nice on the skin and it really helps to de-puff the face.

Vitamin C Serum: I first tried this serum about two months ago and now I’m hooked. It doesn’t break me out, which is a huge win (most vitamin c serums always break me out) and it really helps brighten my skin. I use this in the morning.

Collagen Eye Cream: I’m finally using an eye cream! I resisted it for a while, but the time has come. This one is great because it firms up the undereye area and gives lots of hydration. (Use SARAHJOY for 15% off.)

CBD Treatment Oil: During the winter months my skin tends to get super dry, so I’ve been using this instead of moisturizer in the mornings and  LOVE it so much. It smells absolutely incredible and it’s super hydrating! Plus it makes my skin radiant. It has full spectrum CBD and seven nourishing botanical oils. (Use SARAHJOY for 15% off.)

Evening Skincare Routine

Purifying Cleanser: Again with the cleanser!

Exfoliating Sugar Scrub: This is my favorite exfoliator ever. It came out this past fall and I’ve been hooked ever since. This does a great job of scrubbing away dead skin, but it’s gentle enough to use 3-4 times a week. (Use SARAHJOY for 15% off.)

Vitamin C Serum: Again with this too!

Collagen Eye Cream: This again too. More eye cream makes for happy eyes.

Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Gel 10%–I just added this into my routine and so far, so good. I’ve been wanting to find a good glycolic acid, so I’m excited to finally have one! This is good for uneven texture, fine lines and skin tone.

Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops: These tanning drops were one of my favorite discoveries in 2020! All you do is add a few drops to your moisturizer at night and then wake up with the perfect glowy tan. I love, love, love this product. Especially right now when my skin is so pale! I use the color medium.

24-7 Day + Moisturizing Cream: Here’s another old favorite of mine that I’m still using! This moisturizer is loaded with superfoods and it’s super hydrating.

Shape Tape Custom Kit Sale!!

I also wanted to share that Tarte is doing a huge custom kit sale today for International Shape Tape Day (yes, it’s a real thing!). You can get to choose three full-size items from the Shape Tape fam and a limited edition makeup bag for $49 plus free shipping. That’s a $115 value, so it’s a heck of a deal. I personally love the shape tape concealer, shape tape setting powder, and shape tape setting spray. But the Shape Tape foundation is my holy grail! I’ve raved about it for years now–it gives amazing coverage and it’s long wearing. Highly recommend!

Hi Sarah, wondering what you use for sunscreen on your face. All the ones I’ve tried feel greasy on my face and makes me not want to use them but it’s super important.

My dermatologist recommends (and office sells) “elta MD skincare UV daily broad spectrum SPF 40” in tinted or untinted. I hated oily sunscreen but this is sheer and lightweight. $34 at her office.

Tula has a great one that I used to use religiously, but then I got out of the habit. I really need to order it again. It’s not greasy at all! Here’s the link: https://rstyle.me/+2Xcwz4CqYwTOasQZGQUuyA

You use the tanning drops at night. When you wash your face in the morning, does it just wash the color off? Or is it a tanner that sticks for a few days/weeks?

It doesn’t wash off in the morning, but after a day or two it starts to fade a bit like any self-tanner. I use it 2-3 nights a week to keep a nice tan going! 🙂

The CBD treatment oil sounds very interesting. I’ve heard a lot of good feedback about the benefits of CBD.
